Holly Andres’ short “Agnes” has been nominated for the “California Women’s Film Festival” and the “LA Independent Women Film Awards”.

We are delighted to announce Holly Andres’ short “Agnes” has been nominated for two awards: the “California Women’s Film Festival” and the “LA Independent Women Film Awards”.

“Agnes” is a picturesque short film about a mother grieving the disappearance of her daughter, all the while her daughter’s belongings find their way home by way of the river near her house. The lack of dialogue adds to the sorrow and emptiness of the short; this also allows the more subtle and peaceful forest background noise to permeate the moment. This film is based on the short story “The Pond” by Kirstin Valdez Quade.

Winners for “LA Independent Women Film Awards” are set to be announced January 29th.
