Phuong Vu

Born into the culture-rich center of Hanoi, Vietnam, Phuong is continuously evolving a new visual language that blends raw storytelling with street culture and eye-popping surrealism.

Phuong’s multi-media background began in fashion photography before evolving into music video direction. With over a decade as a dancer, his work is grounded in rhythm and musicality directly influencing his camera movement and editing. The use of practical effects and imaginative set builds contributes to the trippy, psychological bend to his highly-entertaining narratives.

Most recently, Phoung has collaborated with Apple and TBWA/Media Arts Lab Vietnam to create a stunning immersive 360° trailer for the upcoming album “HVL” by MCK.
