GREG KWEDAR and CLINT BENTLEY share a filmmaking partnership and friendship spanning 15 years. Their latest film TRAIN DREAMS, starring Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones, received 4 Oscar nominations including Best Picture and Best Adapted screenplay, won 3 Independent Spirit Awards including Best Feature, Best Director and Best Cinematography and won the Critics Choice Award for Cinematography. Critics have praised Clint Bentley’s direction, saying “It elevates Bentley into a league of essential American Filmmakers,” (David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter,) and “…Clint Bentley’s stunning Western epic…brings a Terrence Malick-esque wonder to how it captures Washington state. It’s one of the best, most flooring of the fest,” (Chase Hutchinson, The Wrap.)

GREG and CLINT co-wrote and produced the film SING SING, starring Colman Domingo, with GREG directing. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews, and screened at SXSW where it won the Festival Favorites Audience Award and sold to A24. SING SING is a boundary-pushing prison-set drama exploring rehabilitation through the arts, with the supporting cast composed primarily of formerly-incarcerated individuals. The film was nominated for 3 Academy Awards, 3 BAFTA Awards, 3 Film Independent Spirit, and 5 Critics Choice Awards.

SING SING has also won a multitude of awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay and the Top Ten Films award at the National Board of Review, the Social Justice Tribute Award, Outstanding Lead Performance, and Outstanding Supporting Performance at the Gotham Awards, and Movie of the Year at the AFI Awards.

CLINT’s directorial debut JOCKEY, co-written with GREG KWEDAR and produced by GREG, stars Clifton Collins Jr. as an aging jockey. The film premiered at Sundance in 2021 where Collins Jr. won the Special Grand Jury prize for Best Actor. JOCKEY won the Audience Award at AFI, and was named a Top 10 Independent Film of 2021 by the National Board of Review. It was released by Sony Pictures Classics in 2021.

GREG is currently in post on their latest film SATURN RETURN, a Plan B production at NEON starring Rachel Brosnahan, Will Poulter, David Morse and Charles Melton.
