Production has begun on Georgi Banks-Davies debut TV drama series I Hate Suzie that will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in 2020.
Co-created and executive produced by Billie Piper and Lucy Prebble and directed by SKUNK’s Georgi Banks-Davies I Hate Suzie is a “strong, dark, fun tale” about the moment in life when the mask slips, and asks how we’d cope if exposed.
Suzie Pickles (played by Piper), a star on the wane, has her whole life upended when she is hacked and a photo of her emerges in an extremely compromising position. The excruciatingly honest eight-part drama series reveals her trauma episode by episode, through the stages of Shock, Denial, Fear, Shame, Bargaining, Guilt, Anger and Acceptance as Suzie tries to hold her life, career and marriage together.
I Hate Suzie is the latest in Sky’s recent commitment to more than double its investment in original drama, comedy and documentary, from the very best talent in Europe through Sky Studios.
