Jim was born in Bath in England and then raised in London, but Jim wishes to escape this world by creating ‘another reality’.
Jim meets prospective actors whilst he is bowling at All Star Lanes in Eagle Rock in Los Angeles in California where he approaches them with a Cream Soda and the promise of stardom and all the delectable trappings that might bring. Use your imagination. Such finds have been used in his ‘high-voiced man on a bus’ Comcast spot and his 2016 debut feature The Greasy Strangler.
Jim’s second feature “An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn” premiered at Sundance in 2018 and features comedy whizzes Aubrey Plaza, Craig Robinson, Jermaine Clement and Matt Berry.
A pilot for his television show Tropical Cop Tales also premiered at Sundance 2018. And the series broadcast on Adult Swim in February of this year.
When Jim isn’t working he likes to listen to his son blast out thought-provoking hip hop whilst he sits on the sofa and strokes his long-haired cat.
