Amanda Blue Directs Channel 4 Comedy ‘How Europe Stole My Mum’

Amanda Blue has directed a new one-off scripted comedy, ‘How Europe Stole My Mum’, which will air on Channel 4 on the Brexit deadline date.

Written by comedian Kieran Hodgson, and staring Harry Enfield, Liza Tarbuck and Tom Palmer, ‘How Europe Stole My Mum’ will guide viewers on a journey to understand how and why Brexit split the country and explain how it was that England came to be in Europe in the first instance.

‘How Europe Stole My Mum’ is a funny, irreverent and personal piece about Brexit which subverts the conventions of factual shows and illustrates the UK’s political landscape at a vital turning point in English history with impressions and flights of fancy.

Amanda said, “It was thrilling to shape a comedic narrative that explored why and how we’ve arrived at the sh#% show that is Brexit. To find a funny and personal way through the polarising divisions. Through Kieran’s Hodgson’s brilliant comedic writing – to humanise us, teach us a thing or two and remind us to laugh again.”

How Europe Stole My Mum will air on Thursday 31st October 11.05pm, Channel 4
